A Comprehensive Guide To Build Blight Minions Necromancer In Diablo 4 Season 4 – Gear, Tips And More

As a popular class in Diablo 4, Necromancer is popular with many players, but I have to say that not everyone has played Necromancer builds in Season 4. Therefore, as a latecomer, if you want to know how to maximize the full potential of Necromancer in Diablo 4, don’t miss this comprehensive build guide.

In this guide, we will share one of the best Necromancer builds we have used so far, Blight Minions Necromancer, from skill settings to gear recommendations. We will cover everything this build needs to dominate the battlefield.

In addition, we also reveal the top 5 tips every Necromancer player should know before entering Season 4. Whether you have upgraded to level 100 or just started the game, this guide will make it smoother for you to play Necromancer builds this season.

Gear Recommendation

Currently, my character is level 100 and running Pit Tier 70 with absolutely common Diablo 4 items that everyone can easily find. As a very casual player, I only took two days to level my character to 100, so everyone can do this.

Next, let’s take a quick look at all the gear I have:

Helmet: Sovereign Helm

Chest: Blood Getter’s Boneweave Armor

Gloves: Doom Gauntlets

Pants: Sovereign Tassets

Boots: Sovereign Greaves

Weapons: Blighted Crystal Greatsword

Amulet: Unyielding Commander’s Amulet

Rings: Circle of Grasping Veins & Band of Reanimation

Necromancer Tips

Now let’s take a look at the 5 tips you must know when playing a Necromancer build.

Fortify Before The Fight Starts

As a somewhat fragile character, we need to use Army of the Dead to get Fortified, which will make us more tanky. This is because we invest 3 skill points in Necrotic Carapace, so when a corpse is formed, we fortify 6% of our maximum health.

This means that only one cast of Army of the Dead will make us Fortified or very close to being Fortified, but until we do, we are always vulnerable to dying to every hit from higher levels in Pit. Therefore, Fortify builds before the fight starts are crucial.

Keep Pressing The Button To Raise Skeleton

If you feel that your damage is not enough, then keep pressing the button to Raise Skeleton. Because consuming corpses will trigger Fueled By Death, giving us a 9% damage buff. After consuming 5 corpses, we will get another 40% damage multiplier for 6 seconds.

Flesh-Eater Legendary Node on our Paragon Board shows that by consuming corpses, a total of 49% damage multiplier can be obtained, which is huge. Of course, we only need to do this in the late game or in the higher tier of Nightmare Dungeons or Pit.

Tempering Your Gear

Don’t forget to keep tempering your gear, which only costs a few crafting Diablo 4 Materials, which we can easily get through salvage gear.

In addition, we can add two modules to our legendary equipment, which will give us a lot of advantages during the upgrade process. I only realized this in the late stage of upgrading, but it will make our upgrade faster.

It is worth noting that we also need to temper before we enchant the gear. Because the developers have increased the cost of enchantment a lot, and we get a lot less Diablo 4 Gold than before. Doing this can reduce a lot of unnecessary waste of resources.

Complete Events In Nightmare Dungeons

Complete events such as Cursed Shrine in Season 4 Nightmare Dungeons. These events provide a lot of XP, and when you see them in Nightmare Dungeons, be sure to complete them for fast upgrades.

Combining Pit And Nightmare Dungeons

After completing Tier 41 Nightmare Dungeon, Pit and Masterworking will be unlocked. Completing Pit will provide us with crafting materials to upgrade our equipment, and Nightmare Dungeon allows us to upgrade our glyphs and pick up fragments to make gems. It is worth mentioning that the developers have made gem material matching more rare.

Therefore, combining Pit and Nightmare Dungeons, you can upgrade your equipment to the maximum extent and reach the next level as soon as possible!

Another little tip is that if we click on Blacksmith, you will see a small sign in the upper right corner of the equipment, which means that we will make an upgrade to our Codex Of Power Aspects. So if you see this, salvage the equipment to upgrade it in Codex. For other equipment, you can decide to salvage them or sell them in exchange for Diablo 4 Gold.

Skill Points

For skill points, since we are using Blight Minions Necromancer, Blight will get a 20% damage multiplier regardless of which basic skill is used. And, Hewed Flesh to form more corpses and more armor, Grim Harvest to get more Essence.

Then, every time we consume a corpse, we need to invest 3 points in Fueled By Death to get a damage multiplier, and then use Amplify Damage, Death’s Approach and equip Decrepify to curse the enemy, while also having a chance to reduce our cooldown.

Also, 3 points into Skeletal Mage Mastery to give them more life and do more damage and Corpse Tendrils. This is not only a good way to make enemies vulnerable, but it’s also very good for Necrotic Carapace to get us Fortify, making us more tanky.

Then this Golem Mastery will add 3 points through the gear in our chest, which is to increase the damage of Golem. But in a certain situation, I will also use Army of the Dead to get us Fortify. This is also the panic button, because if we get into a strange or dangerous situation, just press this button and it will help us clear the monster quickly.

And on top of that, I also use Supreme Army of the Dead to raise our Skeletal Warriors and Skeletal Mage.

If we die in the middle of Pit and Nightmare Dungeons, I would choose to invest 3 points into Inspiring Leader to get a more critical chance.

For Hellbent Commander, I invest 2 points, which greatly increases the minion damage we are dealing, and because we will definitely use Blighted Aspect, we get a huge damage buff of over 200 times for 6 seconds.

Book Of The Dead

When Shadowblight Key Passive deals 10 damage to an enemy, this actually triggers a lot of effects. Because our Skeletal Mage casts very quickly, we get all the mods that increase attack speed, such as the minion attack speed here. And our equipment can increase attack speed, which helps Book of the Dead: Skeletal Warriors.

In addition, we use Reaper to get more cooldowns when they attack the enemy. For Skeletal Mage, we use Shadow to increase the damage multiplier, and then for Golem, everyone uses this to get more tanky capabilities while reducing damage.

Paragon

For Paragon Board, I will only briefly cover some of Legendary Nodes, and the rest you can adjust on your own based on your play style.

Hulking Monstrosity: This is actually to increase the damage multiplier of our Golem.

Cult Leader: Increases the damage of the minions based on the attack speed bonus we have.

Scent of Death: It provides unique advantages based on the presence of nearby corpses, increasing damage output or providing damage reduction.

Flesh-Eater: After consuming five corpses, we get a huge 40% damage buff, which is a multiplier for our damage for six seconds. So if we keep improving our Skeletal Warriors, we will always get this damage multiplier, which is very useful for damage.

These are all the tips you need to know to build this Blight Minions Necromancer. Hopefully, these tips will help you happy hunting in Season 4 and see you next time.
