Essential requirements: · Expertise in marketing and at least 5 years’ prior experience. · Expertise in marketing automation tools, namely Marketo and its Salesforce interface, is essential to role. · Intermediate or above proficiency with InDesign and Adobe Creative Cloud. · Travel and/or high-end hospitality industry experience preferred. · Bachelor’s degree required. · Aptitude for organization as a system-driven thinker and excellent process management skills. Role and responsibilities: • Work with leadership team in strategic marketing efforts and in tracking effectiveness of campaigns. Serve as the primary point of contact for all marketing-sales related efforts with the express intention of integrating all marketing efforts to support sales intentions for the company. • Review and understand the overall marketing budget and provide data to assist in budget decisions and manage all marketing investments to same. • Manage the coordination and production of all print materials, including brochures and annual catalog. Duties include collaborating with leadership team and outside marketing entities on strategic planning and creative direction, defining budget, directing, and overseeing schedule, working closely with designers on development and design, and editing/writing content. • Develop understanding of all marketing related materials connected with the annual OBP trip portfolio. Design and develop content and enlist the assistance of other OBP resources to deliver trip-related marketing materials (digital and print). Namely responsible for trip brochures and post-catalog trip-copy web updates. • Manage the solicitation and negotiation of print and design bids and pricing with relevant vendors. • Responsible for marketing related duties associated with Marketo automated marketing platform. Work with appropriate OBP personnel on the development and implementation of automated sales, drips, and marketing functions. • Management of Marketo for weekly e-cables. • Management and oversite of the OBP website. Facilitating additions, updates and corrections as well as oversee all development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the OBP website. • Work with tech consultant in the digital marketing/SEM sphere to supply needed information. Review all ad campaign language associated with digital marketing efforts. Participate in meetings to track performance and needs. • Work with outside consultant related to SEO, including key word coordination on blogs, and working with consultants and others to facilitate SEO improvements. • Act as assistant blog managing editor. Coordinate with editorial calendar and schedule, edit, write, or commission a target of two blogs posts per month on the OBP side. Posting and publishing include loading copy into Word Press, creating hyperlinks, adding key words and meta description, adding (and sometimes sourcing) photos, and publishing. • Management of social media. • Write or edit special one-off content tasks as needed. • Participate in the coordination of marketing efforts of the Lindblad family of travel companies. Participate in meetings to track performance and best practices. • Participate in occasional OBP trips with the objective of writing blogs and/or placing stories about the experience in travel magazines such as Conde Nast and Travel + Leisure.
