The University of Stirling Management School is recognised as a centre of academic excellence that offers innovative scholarship and widespread engagement with a variety of stakeholders to improve business, society and lives. The School’s exceptional performance in REF2014 has resulted in a coveted place among the UK’s top 25 institutions for Business and Management. We are also ranked 14th in the UK for research impact. In Scotland, the School is ranked in the top five and over 90% of our research impact is rated either world leading or internationally excellent. We are in the final process of securing AACSB accreditation and we already hold the Small Business Charter Award and we are part of the delivery team for the Help To Grow Programme for SMEs.

The School has a divisional structure comprising of four main academic divisions: Accounting and Finance; Economics; Marketing and Retail; and Management, Work and Organisation. We are a member of the Chartered Association of Business Schools; the European Foundation for Management Development and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business; and are signatories to the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME).

A number of our taught programmes are recognised and accredited by professional bodies the CMI – Chartered Management Institute (MBA); CIPD – Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (BA (Hons) Human Resource Management and MSc Human Resource Management); CFA – Chartered Financial Analyst Institute (MSc in Investment Analysis); ACCA (MSc International Accounting and Finance), CIMA and ICAS (BAcc Accountancy); CIM – Chartered Institute of Marketing (MSc Marketing); Chartered Banker Institute (MSc Banking and Finance) and GARP – Global Association of Risk Professionals (MSc Finance and Risk Management).
